Environmental Charter

I pledge on my honor to meet the environmental charter for the protection of our sea :


  1. I will do not throw garbage such as plastic bags, batteries, cigarettes, cans and non biodegradable products on the beaches and into the sea.
  2. I will pick up the waste.
  3. I will not throw in the sea pollutants such as used oil or empty the toilet tank into the sea.
  4. I will use on the beach and in boats, recyclable paper bags or cloth bags instead of plastic (Plastic bags are 60 % of the visible mass of waste that pollute the sea).
  5. I will alert local authorities if I am a witness of a ‘organic’ crime (discharges of illegal pollutants such as oil).
  6. I will bring on board products without packaging and will store the waste at the port.
  7. I will limit my fishing to the authorized species, sizes and dates and will give back to the sea the fishes out of standards.
  8. I will anchor on the sand rather than on the grass or rocks and will try to adopt the « Orin » method (system of linking the anchor rope to a buoy) which avoids the scraping caused by the anchor.
  9. If my fishing net falls or gets stuck, I will contact the nearest port to retrieve the net.
  10. I will encourage my peers to adopt “ecocitizen” attitudes.
